In principle, all of our treatments are carried out on an outpatient basis, which is why they are charged to the compulsory basic insurance according to Tarmed. It does not matter whether the patient has "general" insurance in their canton of residence, "general" insurance for the whole of Switzerland, "semi-private" or "private" insurance. A cost approval is also not necessary for outpatient treatments.

You can register directly with us, no referral is required. If you have chosen a family doctor model, please inform them of your consultation with us.

A few weeks after your treatment, you will receive an invoice from Ärztekasse Ostschweiz, which will take care of our invoicing. Submit this invoice to your health insurance company, which will reimburse you before you pay our invoice.

Vein assessment costs

Every vein treatment begins with a professional, obligatory examination using ultrasound and plethysmography. This examination is painless, but requires a lot of equipment. This vein examination is paid for by every health insurance company, regardless of whether the patient comes to us because of large varicose veins, pain, for a check-up, for a second opinion or because of cosmetically disturbing spider veins.

Cost: from CHF 500.00-650.00

Cost of spider veins

In most cases, spider veins are treated for aesthetic reasons. Aesthetic treatments must be paid for privately and cannot be covered by basic insurance.

Costs: from CHF 160.00-250.00 for treatment of spider veins with foam sclerotherapy,

Costs ELVeS™/VNUS Closure®/ClariVein®

When large varicose veins are lasered, the leg is always treated "completely" as part of the treatment: the saphenous vein or another vein is closed endoluminally using a procedure such as ELVeS™, VNUS Closure® or ClariVein® (lateral branches are removed by phlebectomy (crochet method) and smaller remnants are treated with foam sclerotherapy.

The treatment of large varicose veins is covered by all health insurance companies if medically necessary, regardless of whether stripping or laser treatment with ELVeS™, the radiofrequency method, foam sclerotherapy or phlebectomy is performed.
