Dr. med. Nikolaus Linde

Dr. Linde began 25 years ago as a "normal doctor" for general medicine FMH. Based on a broad training in surgery, internal medicine, anesthesia and vein medicine, he worked at the University Hospital Basel, the Cantonal Hospital Münsterlingen and the Vein Clinic Kreuzlingen. From an early stage, his focus was on the treatment of venous disorders – whether medical (large varicose veins, leg pain) or aesthetic (spider veins).

Dr. Linde covers the entire spectrum of venous diseases: This starts with diagnostics using modern duplex ultrasound, continues with sclerotherapy treatments ("injecting veins") using modern foam technology and extends to compression therapies as well as surgery.

In terms of surgery, Dr Linde specializes in minimally invasive techniques using lasers and mini-hooks. This treatment makes it possible to remove varicose veins – no matter how large or small – on an outpatient basis. All treatments at the VENENCLINIC are performed exclusively in twilight sleep and with local anesthesia (i.e. without back or general anesthesia), so that the patient can get up and go home immediately after the procedure. Follow-up treatment with compression stockings is not usually necessary.
